Kluang Hock Lian Development Co., Ltd. Managing Director Cheng Qingbo pointed out that LOTUS’S STORES, formerly known as Tesco hypermarket, will open an additional branch in BANDAR NEWPARK KLUANG, Kluang Hock Lian Commercial City.
He said that the hypermarket covers an area of 5 acres and will be built and leased by Fulian Development in cooperation with the group. The total investment is estimated to be RM35 million.
He said that the masonry work in this area of the mall has been completed, construction started in June, and is expected to open in February 2023.
“This not only gives local residents more choices and creates job opportunities, but also further enhances Kluang’s commercial value.”
Hock Lian Administrative and Commercial Center is located in the central part of Johor, easily accessible from the north and south, with convenient transportation. It only takes 12 minutes to drive from the North-South Expressway Air Itam Toll Station to the Commercial City.
Zheng said that this development project has the cooperation of the government and brings together the city council, county and land bureau, federal government building, Internal Revenue Service Central Headquarters Building, civil service training center, and the commercial city project includes 2-story shops, pedestrian streets, resort-style Hotel, Kluang’s largest conference and exhibition hall, petrol station, drive-thru.
In addition, the company will develop three 8-story high-end serviced apartments, food and entertainment centers adjacent to LOTUS’S STORES. Discussions include medical and health centers, indoor sports and entertainment centers, and colleges.
“Coupled with the double-track train that will be completed this year, it will definitely attract a large amount of foreign investment and consumption. It will lead Kluang to a new milestone and become the most watched county in Johor.”
