(Kluang News on the 25th) Kluang Overseas Chinese Primary School plans to move to Kluang Fook Lian Commercial City in the future, and has received 3.5 acres of land donated by Kluang Fook Lian Development Co., Ltd. for the construction of the school.
The Kluang Chinese Primary School held an inauguration ceremony for Dong Jia Xie yesterday, and the school’s new chairman Datuk Chua Yong Hock made the above announcement at the meeting.
Cai Yongfu said that the school received 3.5 acres of land donated by Cheng Qingbo, the managing director of Kluang Hock Lian Development Co., Ltd. for the relocation of the school, and donated the first RM1 million in cash as a school building fund, which has become a model in promoting Chinese education.
He also hopes that the new board members will uphold the spirit of loving Chinese education and make contributions to overseas Chinese primary schools.
When Zheng Qingbo was also invited to explain the details of the new school site, he said that he is currently applying to the Education Bureau for relocation of the school. The new school site is located in the center of Fulian Commercial City, with easy access to transportation.
Chairman of the Parents Association, Lin Youde, thanked various associations and enthusiasts for their efforts in improving the school’s equipment and bringing the school into the information age of the 21st century.
In his speech, the Commissioner of Oaths, Datuk Ong Jin Hua, said that education is a century-old undertaking. Under the multi-religious nature of Malaysia, the Chinese education system is still perfect, relying on the collective wisdom and efforts of the forefathers and the efforts of teachers.
He expressed the hope that the school can continue to promote Chinese culture so that Chinese students can obtain good studies and become the pillars of the country in the future.
Principal Zhang Lianmei said that the development of the school also requires the assistance of the Dong Jia Association to exert the spirit of unity to create a better tomorrow.
She thanked the many enthusiastic people who care about Chinese education for their wholehearted participation, allowing mother-tongue education to gain a firm foothold and continue to work hard for the general direction of Chinese education.
